The most commonly mentioned items for a build are a cordless drill and saw of some kind. Akrvbob recommends an 18v Ryobi kit for value.2)
Corded tools can be used with an inverter. A PSW version may help keep motor temperatures down and help with picky battery chargers.
Circular saws, sometimes called Skilsaws, are used for cutting lumber. Jigsaws are used for finer work. When using a jigsaw gsfish reminds us to tape the bottom so we do not scratch the camper's finish.3)

As you climb all over the camper during the build take note of all the fasteners you see: screws, bolts, allen head, square head, torx, etc.4)
