thoughts on used/abused batteries

Sometimes we get batteries for free or cheap. Sometimes we damage the batteries we already own. While fresh and healthy batteries are best, they are relatively $$$. Here are some thoughts on getting value out of compromised batteries:

• raise the Vabs setpoint to the max allowed by the battery manufacturer
• max the Absorption duration if possible, and
• run the living snot out of them. Run them below 50% if needed. It's one of those “your girlfriend is already pregnant” scenarios.
