Many vandwellers are snowbirds, following mild weather. One major reason for this is heating and air conditioning with solar power are prohibitively expensive.

Having said that, there are two ways one can reduce interior temperatures with minimal electric power:

1. roof vents, like the Fantastic or Maxxfan vents
2. swamp coolers, which work only in deserts or other areas with low humidity
