Measuring ingredients by weight

Measuring cooking ingredients by weight can save on cleanup and on the necessity to carry an assortment of measuring cups and spoons.

Note: c = cup. tsp = teaspoon. TBS = tablespoon. g = gram.

solid ingredients

  • 1c flour = 128g
  • 1c cornmeal = 128g
  • 1c sugar = 200g
  • 1TBS banking powder = 14.4g
  • 1tsp salt = 5.7g

liquid ingredients

  • 1c cooking oil = 218g
  • 1c milk = 245g
  • 1c water = 237g
